Frequently asked questions
How much time do I get per sum?
The fuse starts at under two seconds and shrinks to about one second as you go. Harder sums such as times tables and two-step problems get a small allowance. It never goes below one second.
How do lives work?
You have three. A wrong answer or a timeout costs one, and the run ends at zero. Every 15 right answers in a row wins one back, up to three.
What is the Daily 40?
The same 40 sums for everyone, one scored attempt per day (the day changes at midnight UTC). You get a daily streak and a share grid that does not spoil the answers. You can turn on a 9am reminder in Settings.
Do I need an account?
No. Everything works offline and signed out. Game Center sign-in is optional and only used for the leaderboards.
What is the Relaxed timer?
A setting that gives you 60% more time per sum. Relaxed runs are kept off the leaderboards.
What does the Support purchase do?
It is a one-time purchase that unlocks three extra looks (Dusk, Tide and Mono), each with a matching app icon. Ember, the original look, is free. Nothing else is locked and there are no ads. If you bought Pro in an earlier version, you keep it. Use Restore purchase in Settings on a new device.
Which devices does it run on?
iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo.
My leaderboard button says Game Center is off
Sign in to Game Center in the iOS Settings app, then come back and tap the trophy again. The game is fully playable while signed out, but scores only reach the leaderboards when you are signed in. Relaxed runs are never submitted.
My score is missing from the leaderboard
Leaderboards can take a moment to refresh. Only your best endless run and your Daily score are submitted, and only when Game Center is signed in and Relaxed timer is off.
I bought Support but my looks are locked
Open Settings in the game and tap Restore purchase, signed in with the Apple Account you used to buy. If it still does not unlock, contact us with the email on your Apple receipt.
How do I change the app icon?
Open Settings, then Look, and choose a look. The matching icon is applied when you pick it. Dusk, Tide and Mono need the Support purchase.
How do I reset my progress?
Progress (best score, streak, settings) is stored on your device. Deleting the app removes it. Leaderboard entries are held by Apple's Game Center; you can reset them from Game Center settings on your device.
Can I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
